Each one separately, they've got different ingredient lists, so a patch test on the cleanser doesn't tell you anything about how skin will handle the moisturiser or sunscreen.

It's what the cleanser goes onto before it touches their face, one pump on the buffer, then circular motions over the T-zone and any congested spots for 60 seconds. You can use hands instead if she loses it or forgets it on a sleepover, but the buffer's doing more of the actual cleansing work than fingers alone would.
Either works. Cleanse, then either moisturiser followed by sunscreen, or sunscreen on its own in place of the moisturiser, it's formulated to do both jobs. At night, it's just cleanser and moisturiser; no SPF needed once the sun's down.
